Robotics Smart Machine sensor/Bluetooth issue

When the ultrasonic sensor is plugged into the battery pack, I lose all Bluetooth connectivity.As soon as the sensor is plugged in, the blue light on the pack will stop flashing, and the app will disconnect to the unit. If I unplug the ultrasonic sensor, the light will flash again, and I can connect to the app via Bluetooth. How do I fix this?

Have you tried replacing the batteries with brand new batteries? Also, what is the brand of the batteries? Does the issue occur immediately with new batteries or does it develop over time?
